Special Services

Family Services: Worship Services expecially intended for all ages, including children older than 4 years, occur several times during the year. Nursery care only is provided for these services.

Christmas Vespers: At 5:00 pm on Christmas Eve the Children's Choirs and Sacred Dancers lead the congregation in a service of lessons and carols. The Confirmation Class creates a tableau of the Manger scene.

Adult Services: These services are prepared for adults and youth in Middle and High School

Christmas Eve: At 8:00 pm the Chancel choir and the Ministers lead the congregation in a candlelight service of lessons, carols and prayer.

Manger Sunday: On this Sunday morning early in December, during Morning Worship, we bring gifts for the children served by the City Mission Society. During a procession accompanied by the singing of carols, we place the unwrapped toys and clothes and gifts of money in a large wooden Manger as our offering to the infant Jesus.

Maundy Thursday: 7:30 p.m. in Clark Hall, gathered around small tables, the congregation celebrates the Last Supper. The fifth grade class is welcomed to the Table for the first time.

Good Friday:7:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary, a quiet service of meditaion led by our Confirmation Class.

Easter: At 11:00 am, adults gather to celebrate worship with special music. We encourage children to attend the 9:00 am service.
