Are you looking for a new church home for yourself or your family? We invite you to explore what Hancock Church has to offer you.
We're a Congregational Church, affiliated with the United Church of Christ (UCC). Hancock is one of the largest and most active UCC churches in Massachusetts.
The only requirement to be a part of our church family is a desire on your part to get to know God better. It really doesn't matter exactly where you are on your individual faith journey. Come with us, and let's make the trip together. Please look at our Covenant of Welcome and our Statement of Faith to get a better understanding of what we believe.
What will you find when you come to Hancock, located on the historic green in Lexington, MA? For starters:
- A growing membership of over 1000 caring and involved people, including many members previously belonging to other denominations.
- A vibrant church school of over 250 children and youth.
- A superb staff, including two ministers and three seminarians.
- Several highly-active and involved youth groups.
- Inspiring and enlightening sermons whose practical guidance can help you get more out of life.
- A diverse music Program, with kindergarten thru adult choirs, chamber music ensembles, and regular orchestral cantata services.
- A strong handbell choir program, with choirs for elementary, middle and high school children, as well as two adult choirs.
- A supportive and caring community of fellowship.
- A vigorous humanitarian and Christian Service mission.
- Numerous religious and secular educational opportunities, including a well-stocked library.
- Many small fellowship groups for women, youths, men, seniors, and more.
The best way to get to know Hancock is to join us for worship Sundays at 10 am. Childcare is available, and you can meet some of us at coffee time after the service. In the spring and fall, there are informational meetings for those interested in exploring membership. Or you can fill out our online contact form or call the church office at 781-862-4220 and we'll be back in touch.
If you're considering joining a new church, or haven't belonged to a church in some time, please consider visiting Hancock Church today. We'll look forward to meeting you.
