On Wednesday, January 27 at 6pm, community action group BRIDGES is hosting a screening and discussion of the film Waking in Oak Creek at the Depot in Lexington Center. This is a community action event and will be attended by community leaders, government officials, and the general public. This year, the Town of Lexington commemorates Martin Luther King, Jr. Day with its third annual family-friendly day of volunteer activities supporting the underserved. Come lend a hand. The 30+ pounds harvested last Saturday brings the season’s total to 1,991 pounds so far this year, well above our prior best of 1,637. The good weather, crop rotation and care under the tutelage of Carla has made for a remarkable year. Thanks to all the volunteers who make this project so successful.
