HYG Auction is April 3!

For 14 years, the Hancock Youth Group (HYG) has traveled to the Appalachian Mountains during their spring vacation to build and repair homes for people in need.  This week of service is the highlight of the year for HYG, and the proceeds from the Auction support their work.  We need you to donate items to the silent or live auction, attend the auction and bid (often and high!!), purchase lunch at the auction, and donate cash directly to the Mission Fund.   After a great day of rest and relaxation, the kids are gearing up for another day of hard labor in Neon:) The weather at 9am: Clear and 66 degrees with a high of about 80.  UV index 8 (!) wear sunscreen, kids! We look forward to more updates about their work and experiences.

Update from HYG in Kentucky

Hancock Seminarian and trip leader Becca Lockwood reported to the church offices today.  All HYG-ers and adult chaperones are healthy and tired after two days of physical labor in hot, sunny Kentucky! The bus trip went smoothly–20 hours never seemed so short!  The group watched movies, and the adults slept while the kids played music–saving up their energy for the week ahead!
