The 30+ pounds harvested last Saturday brings the season’s total to 1,991 pounds so far this year, well above our prior best of 1,637. The good weather, crop rotation and care under the tutelage of Carla has made for a remarkable year. Thanks to all the volunteers who make this project so successful. Join members of the Prudential Committee on Saturday, November 15th from 9am to 1pm for an indoor/outdoor work day. No special skills required–just the desire to roll up your sleeves and join friends of Hancock working on some maintenance, cleaning and repair projects inside and outside the church. Join us for part of the time or for the entire morning. Interfaith Garden: A Great Family Outing!

Last Sunday, Hancock Church children, youth and adults stopped by Interfaith Garden to see what’s growing. All learned more about growing vegetables, herbs and fruit-from seed or seedling and tending to harvest. Interfaith Garden volunteering makes an ideal family outing. Kids enjoy gardening alongside people of all ages-and wheeling produce-filled carts to Lexington’s Food Pantry on Saturday mornings during harvest season!
