Hancock’s Hurricane Sandy Relief Effort recognized as Outstanding by the Fuller Center!

In May of 2013, Hancock sent 11 hard-working adults to regions of New Jersey most devastated by Hurricane Sandy the previous fall.  For a full week they hung sheet rock, painted, and installed flooring.  They found that through this work, their friendships with one another were strengthened, their commitment to social justice was renewed, and their gratitude was expanded and refreshed. Interfaith Garden ready to open for 4th Season!  Want to be part of this rewarding project? The Interfaith Garden is set to open in the next week, starting with clearing the debris of winter and prepping the soil so fresh produce can be grown and donated to the Lexington Food Pantry.  Last year 1,637 pounds of vegetables and herbs were delivered, all accomplished with volunteer labor from 13 supporting congregations of faith and friends from the local community.  Hancock regularly sends a few people over...

Lexington Interfaith Choral Festival Returns to Hancock! February 10th, 3pm

On Sunday, February 10th at 3:00 .m. Hancock will again host the annual Lexington Choral Festival. This interfaith concert will feature choirs from 12 area institutions. Each choir will offer a performance, then the nearly 300 voices will join to sing a glorious rendition of Bach’s Dona Nobis Pacem. The concert is free and open to the public with a reception in the dining room to follow. Please join us and invite a friend!
