Kay Barney World-Premier

The first public performance of the Quartet in A Minor, “Reflections,” recently composed by Kay Barney, long a Hancock member, will be performed by the Wayside Quartet in a concert on Monday, November 10, 7:15pm in the auditorium of Carleton-Willard Village.

The quartet, about 35 minutes in performance, is in four movements, each representing reflections on the seasons of the year. All are invited to attend. As many may remember, Kay has composed a number of choral anthems, three of which have received national publication, a Cantata for Easter (chorus and small orchestra), a Festive Chorus (chorus, children’s choir and brass quartet), and a Mass in Times of Sorrow and Joy (chorus, children’s choir and symphony orchestra), which have been performed at Hancock and several elsewhere.
