Dare to Make a Difference

Last weekend, our Hancock Youth Group (HYG) returned from their annual trip to Neon, KY where they spent the week helping to rebuild homes.  You can help support this important effort by our youth by participating in our fundraiser auction that provides needed funds for this yearly trip.  Your support of HYG’s mission trip and the auction can help make a difference in the lives of families seeking affordable housing.

Here’s How To Participate:

  1. Donate an item for the auction
  2. Attend the auction and bid on a silent or live auction item
  3. Purchase lunch and baked goods at the auction
  4. Donate cash directly to HYG’s Mission Fund
  5. Visit our “HYG Auction 2014” website at www.hancockyouthgroup.wordpress.com

To Donate an Item:

  • Submit a donation online @ www.hancockyouthgroup.wordpress.com, select the “HYG Auction 2014” pull-down menu, and select “Submit Your HYG Auction Items On-Line”
  • OR email to terri.stull65@gmail.com
  • OR drop off a HYG Auction Donation form at the Hancock Office.  Forms are available at Coffee Hour and The Well.

Be A Hero and Donate an Item!

The most important component needed for a successful auction is YOU!  We need your help in obtaining items to sell at the auction.  Below is a list of suggested donations such as goods and services, gift certificates and new items.  In the past, HOT sellers have been vacation homes and professional sports tickets so donations of these items are greatly appreciated!  Be creative! Encourage family members or friends to help out, too! The event will include a silent and live auction, wine raffle and a bake and lunch items sale!

Donation Suggestions:

Tickets to sporting events

Tickets to theatre events

Vacation homes

Certificate for salon services

Certificate for professional services

Hand-made items

Dining certificates

Themed baskets

One of a kind items

Check out our website at http://hancockyouthgroup.wordpress.com/hyg-auction-2014/ for updated information on the Auction and to make a donation online.

We are still looking for more parent volunteers. If you are interested, please contact Susan Navia, navia@rcn.com or Lori Bliss Tambone at Ltambone@tambone, HYG Auction Coordinators.
