HEAT After Church Program

This Sunday, 11:15am in Kathie Stuart

We are all seeing storms get fiercer, droughts affecting our farms, and ice melting in the Arctic. We wonder how we are going to pay for all the damage from the storms and still make changes to our infrastructure if things keep getting worse. If you are as concerned as I, come hear what several members of our church have been doing to reduce their use of fossil fuels. We will hear about:

Using heat pumps for home heating and cooling

Using heat pump hot water heaters to save 40 to 50% of the cost of electric hot water heating

Using Solar Energy on our homes to produce electricity

Using Viridian Energy to purchase 100% renewable electrical energy

And we will talk about what we can do to encourage our legislators to take action

Please join the Hancock Environmental Action Team after church on Sunday 16 November 2014 at 11:15am in the Kathie Stuart Room.

Make sure you stop in Clark Hall to get a coffee, juice, and treat with the Stewardship Committee before attending the HEAT Program.
