Artist Statement
Sara Feldman works in acrylic, pencil, colored pencil and watercolor. In the series for a recent show at the Depot Square Gallery in Lexington, MA, she explored the many moods of water, from calm reflecting pools to powerful waves hitting rocky shores. Her paintings are multilayered, allowing the translucent quality of the acrylics to show depth and richness.
Her pencil drawings are done with a 7H pencil, detailed, and because of the hardness of the pencil, have a silvery tone.
*Depot Square Gallery - She has been a member of Depot Square Gallery for twenty-four years. Along with painting, she is presently involved in the Lexington Downtown Association.
