General Submission Guidelines

In general, all press releases and announcements should include the following:

Event Title, Location, Day, Date, Time, Event Description, Contact information.

There are several ways to share announcements at Hancock Church.

The Hancock Weekly Newsletter

Sent every Wednesday

Deadline: The same Wednesday, 9am

Join the Hancock Weekly Newsletter by clicking on the orange button on the right that says “Sign Up Now.” The Hancock Weekly is sent out every Wednesday. The deadline for submissions is the same Wednesday by 9am. Try to keep the text under 100 words. Longer announcements will be shortened with a link to the website for the full text. Announcements generally run for two weeks. After that, the headline will continue to run with a link to the rest of the announcement on

The Sunday Bulletin

Handed out every Sunday for morning worship

Deadline: The preceding Wednesday by 2pm

The Sunday Bulletin is a 12-16 page booklet handed out for morning worship. A pdf of the bulletin is also posted on The deadline for submissions is Wednesday afternoon.


Anyone can post on facebook at any time! If you would like an event invite made from the Hancock profile, email Jane with a general submission and a photo (preferably a horizontal banner) at least 2 weeks before your event.

The website is updated as often as possible—mainly with announcements from the Hancock Weekly. While we try our best to put everything on the website, sometimes a few events are missed. If you’d specifically like something on the website, just contact Jane. We’ll try to have it up that same day, if possible.
