Heifer’s 70th Anniversary Event on Nov. 2nd!

On Sunday, November 2, 2-4pm Hancock Church will host a special celebration of Heifer’s 70th Anniversary. Join us for the Living Gift Market for early holiday shopping; Animal Exhibits for visiting with goats, sheep, and rabbits; delicious refreshments from Heifer Farm; and special music from a Guitar and Fiddle Duo. Heifer International’s mission is to work with communities to end world hunger and poverty and to care for the Earth. Join members of the Prudential Committee on Saturday, November 15th from 9am to 1pm for an indoor/outdoor work day. No special skills required–just the desire to roll up your sleeves and join friends of Hancock working on some maintenance, cleaning and repair projects inside and outside the church. Join us for part of the time or for the entire morning. The Wine Raffle to benefit Sustainable Harvest International will run between Oct 5-Nov 8th. Four winners will receive 6 bottles each!  Purchase one ticket for $10 or three for $25! Amy and Lisle Swanson, and Scott Martin are back from Fort Wayne, Indiana, where they built homes with Blitz Home Builders and Habitat for Humanity. Despite rain delays and wet mud, it looks like they were able to get the roofs on all of the houses!
