What's New At the Lexington Food Pantry?

What’s New At the Lexington Food Pantry?

Normally I report on the Interfaith Garden, but this week I was one of 4 Hancock volunteers at the Lexington Food Pantry. So instead of dropping off freshly harvested vegetables and herbs from the Interfaith Garden, I helped distribute rice, prepackaged meals and soup directly to the families in need. The other Hancock volunteers handled other staples, like pasta, cereal, peanut butter, etc. At the end of the morning, we received an update from Carolyn Wortman, longtime volunteer Pantry coordinator, about what is new at...

March in the Boston Pride Parade – June 13, 2015!

We continue to pray and work for a city in which all might know #BostonWarm. Thank you to all those who contributed, those who cooked, and those who helped distribute on Sunday. If...
