Manger Sunday! On Manger Sunday (Dec. 6th), the congregation will process to the manger with gifts for the City Mission Society (www.cmsboston.org). Gift List They can accept only NEW items. Please no food items. Winter coats, sweaters and sweatshirts Hats, mittens, gloves and scarves Socks and underwear Toys, books, and games for all ages Gift cards from Target, Walgreen’s, Marshall’s, CVS, Kohl’s or other merchants Gift Drivers Driverse are needed for drop-off at First Church Winchester on Dec 6th, between 1-4pm.  Need 1-2 additional drivers....

Interfaith Thanksgiving Service is Nov. 24th

The Annual Interfaith Thanksgiving Worship Service will be held this year at Temple Isaiah, 55 Lincoln Street, here in Lexington.  The theme this year is “Listening” and a great many of the faith communities in town, Christian, Jewish, Hindu, Muslim, and Unitarian will be represented.  An interfaith choir will sing.  Come join us at 7:30 PM and stay for refreshments after.

Did you know that at Hancock Church we have a Cordon of Prayer? Each week a community prayer is recorded and any Hancock member can listen and join in prayer by dialing 781-862-6845.   On Oct. 4 at 6:15pm, Hancock Church will hold its Third Annual Blessing of the Animals evening service in Clark Hall! We’ll celebrate the importance of animals in our lives and give thanks for the wonder and diversity of God’s creation. All animals and their human caretakers are welcome. We have a assembled a beautiful CD of music from many of the music groups here at Hancock, and it is now available! It includes music from the Choir, Carillon, Choristers, River Rock Band, and A Joyful Noyse. Wonderfully varied with music from classical to jazz and renaissance to contemporary, this is a great listen and a great way to share the wonderful music we have here at Hancock! Dear Hancock Families, With June comes the end of our regular Children’s Program and Programs for Youth as we usher in summer months and vacation. We will celebrate our year of learning on June 21st with an all age event for children in the CE Commons and the End of Year Luau for JYO kids in the Upper Room.
