The Planning Phase of the Capital Campaign’s goals are:

  • Identify the Hancock Church building needs with a building assessment
  • Determine the financial and participatory support of the Hancock congregation for a Capital Campaign through a resource assessment
  • Determine a list of priorities from all of the ideas generated from the Dream phase
  • Propose both building and non-building solutions to address those priorities to be funded by a Capital Campaign.

Building Assessment. Architect Don Mills performed an assessment of the Hancock Church building in the summer of 2011 with various consultants. A bio of Don Mills, his assessment reports, and a video of his presentation of his findings to the congregation are below.

Resource Assessment. Consultant Pastor Renée Liabraaten performed a resource assessment of the Hancock congregation in October of 2011. A bio of Pastor Liabraaten and her report are below.

Priorities. The priorities identified from our Strategic Plan are presented on the Priorities page,

Master Plan. The first iteration of a Master Plan generated by Don Mills after hearing our priorities is presented both in graphic and video forms below.


Master Plan and Phase 1
. On November 20, 2011, Don Mills proposed an edited Master Plan along with a portion of that plan carved out to be a first phase (Phase 1).


Phase 1.
On January 8, 2012, Don Mills presented a revised Phase 1 plan for consideration.
