Hancock Church Hosts LGBT Asylum Support Task Force

On April 2nd, Hancock Church will host the LGBT Asylum Support Task Force from Worcester, Ma. The asylum group is the product of a vision of Rev. Judith Hanlon of Hadwen Park Congregation Church. Since 2007 Hadwen Park, and Rev. Hanlon, have assisted more than 120 asylum seekers, mostly from countries where being LGBTQ is a capital offense. The Hancock Concert Series continues on Sunday, April 9th with Herr Beethoven and His Cellists, a concert featuring cellists Cherry Kim, and Scott Thomas Lesser, with Ai-Ying Chiu at the piano. Creativity of an artist is often inspired through collaboration. The Duport brothers, Bernhard Romberg, and Anton Kraft were leading cellists, composers and pedagogues of their time.
