New Advent Brochure!

Dear Friends, The 2015 Advent Brochure is now available! Click the following link to read the entire Hancock Adventures: Advent at Home & Hancock: Advent Brochure 2015-web! We did a limited 200-piece mailing, so some of you may have received a copy in the mail. (200-pieces is the minimum required to use our Bulk Mail Permit.) There are also a few copies in the narthex (left side shelving). If you would like an Advent Brochure mailed to you, please contact Jane Park (781) 862-4220. Please note that we could not print the brochures in color.

Sunday, November 29
First Sunday of Advent!

Advent Wreath Making, 11:15 a.m.
On Sunday, November 29th, following morning worship, we will have intergenerational Advent Wreath Making and Craft Event in the Dining Room. Please bring a dish to share for lunch. This event is sponsored by the Christian Education committee.

Hanging of the Greens, 11:15 a.m.
Gather in the narthex after morning worship for our Annual Hanging of the Greens! The Deacons will have further instruction from there.

Wednesday Evenings For All Ages!

December 2, 9, 16 from 6-7:00 p.m.
Advent, Movies, and Soup – OH MY!

On three Wednesday evenings during Advent (Dec. 2, 9, 16th), from 6-7:00 p.m., we will have a one-hour, fun intergenerational event facilitated by Barbara! Come enjoy a simple supper of homemade soup and salad, while we watch a short holiday movie clip pertaining to an Advent theme. We will then enjoy a small group discussion around the movie and theme, ending in a simple prayer. The first movie on December 2nd is The Best Christmas Pageant Ever with the theme of Hope. New ADVENT-ures!

On Sundays, December 13 and 20 from 8-9:30 a.m.

Come enjoy a hot breakfast before worship, then choose from several activities on Sundays, Dec. 13 and 20th!

8-9:30 a.m. Hot Breakfast in the Dining Room
8:30-9:30 a.m. Choose from the following activities!
1. Games for Children on the green or in the Upper Room, depending on the weather
2. Poetry and Prayer. A time of peace and stillness in the chapel with candles. Led by Paul or Barbara.
3. Pastor’s Class. Bible study and discussion in the Pearson Room.
4. On December 20th only: Handbells 101. Marilyn Becker will teach you everything you ever wanted to know about ringing bells!
